New York New York What A Wonderful Town

Yesterday Rich & I took a ride into Manhattan... 33 miles from our home... lite traffic made it a quick and pleasant drive...

We often go into the city for dinner or to a  show but haven't done Central Park in years and thought it would be a nice way to spend the day...

Which it was... It is such an amazing place and the thing that I found so amazing was the feeling I got of being in a United Nation... folks of all kinds were strolling around interacting with each other, smiling enjoying and obviously having the same positive experience as Rich & I...

I could not help but think of all the recent comments I have heard about the American people being Racists... I saw none of that yesterday... I saw every color every shape every nationality and I saw love for all and I felt proud to be an American sharing my time with folks from so many different backgrounds and  so many different countries...  In this amazing Park in the middle of this amazing City... New York ... New York...

One other thing... the audio surrounding us was composed of so many different languages that I had no clue what was being said but the energy was always positive...

Happy Day...

NYC is a great city, I have enjoyed every visit and always wished that I could spend more time exploring there.

Beth, I've been NEAR NYC regularly over the last few years, flying into Laguardia to go to a supplier in Hauppauge, but it's been quite awhile since I've actually been into NYC itself.  Liz and I visited there in the late '80s when my ship was in Philly for overhaul, did some of the tourist spots and enjoyed it.
