How's the US Real Estate Market?
Do you want a quick idea of how the real estate market is in the rest of the country, or how your city compares to the others in your state, or the state that you are moving to?
The National Association of Realtors has provided us with this very cool map of Metropolitan Statistical Areas in the United States, from which we can check out the last quarter and the average sales price in each Metropolitan Statistical Area.
It's really interesting to compare the areas in Florida and see that Jacksonville at $166,500 ranks higher than Orlando at $161,100. Jacksonville is up 25.5% from 2012 to 2013 second quarter, and Orlando is up 18.4% for the same time period.
This is very helpful. Thank you, NAR and thanks to Gary Frimann for sharing it with me!
