Rockin' the Rails: Covington
Many people know the city of Covington for its Final Friday block parties and Friday Night Sunset at the Landing concerts, and now you can add Rockin’ the Rails to the list! The Thursday jam session is back to fill up your October nights just right!
Charmaine Neville will kick off the concert series fun on October 3rd. The concerts are completely free which is always a nice added bonus. The music gets started at 5 p.m. and you can rock away until 7:30 p.m. The event goes down at the Covington Trailhead outdoor music venue in the downtown historic district.
If you attend go ahead and bring some chairs and make yourself comfortable for an enjoyable night. Seating is limited and you want to be prepared! Beer and wine will be sold at each event. It’s recommended you go ahead and purchase your liquid spirits there too. The revenue brought it helps keep the concert free!
There are some new faces that will be hitting the stage this season. Here is a look at some more of the lineup:
October 10: The Lost Bayou Ramblers, October 17: The Yat Pack will perform with Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience following on October 24. Vince Vance and the Valiants will hit the stage Halloween Night.
