 First of all there are several subdivisions in the Ka'u District. If you go to my direct webpage http://www.kaucountryhomesandland.com/kausubdivisions.html that will show you the various subdivisions in our area and an approximate starting point for prices in each area. Each subdivision is different in it's own way, unique and beautiful. Why don't we start off with you telling me what you would like and for how much that will help me direct you to the right area.  I live in Discovery Harbour and it takes me about 1 1/2 hours to get to the airport in Kona and about an hour to get to the airport in Hilo. I look forward to hearing from you again.

If all goes as planned I will be comming over to the big island to buy an acre of land this winter after elk season. Dec. I have lived very rurally all of my life so being a bit remote doesn't bother me at all in fact it could be a plus.  My requirements are, elevation low enough to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers ect., Prefer to be within 10 minutes of a boat ramp could be 15, not a complete rock pile, power available a big plus, catchment OK, prefer an area of easy CC&Rs, no bldg permits a plus, I have friends with relatives in South Point and they tell me that this is the place I want to live. Ihave been to Hilo and Kona and have been through S.Point and Pahoa. I hear that Pahoa is too rainy in winter. I'm not into hobknobbing with the Rich and famous. I've lived with rednecks all my life and the locals of Kau and I would get along quite well I believe. Low price is good. If it's cheap enough I may buy two.  I have been a high end custom home builder most of my life and should have no trouble building myself a cabin. Let me know what you can do. Thanks Dave

Hello , I have looked at Orchid Isle Estates for example , and I was wondering what is the lava /sulpher risk in these areas and do others actually build here or is it pretty much abandoned?If it is too dangerous do people build defences?What gives?
