Cactus with Leaves -- Spotted During Home Tour in Cave Creek, Arizona

During a home tour today in Cave Creek, Arizona I spotted a cactus with leaves.

I can't remember seeing a variety quite like this one, so I wanted to snap a couple of photos and share them.

Enjoy!

Hi, William -- It's funny, I've been showing the photo to a variety of people who live in Arizona -- and none of us can remember seeing anything like this.  Have a great Sunday!

Eric, that's some kind of Euphorbia, a very common variety.  I have a similar one and some people call it a "pickle" cactus.  The most well-know Euphorbia is the poinsettia.  They all have that milky, caustic sap.

Hi Eric. I'm from a country call Guyana. We actually use that as a medicinal plant. It is good for cold. The local name in Guyana is sweet aloe. You pass the leaf over fire and then you squeeze the juice.
