Emergency Inspection the roof's electrical.

We now want to focus on what was found on the roof of the home.
The roof has a furnace and a swamp cooler on it. Neither were wired or connected properly.
In my humble opinion this home looked like it was wired by "Uncle Bob".
First and foremost the electrical feed to the furnace comes up from the sub panel into the conduit (That is not attached to anything).
Then out of the conduit to the furnace.
This is an un grounded extension cord feed. Nothing more.
When the feed line get's to the furnace there is more issues.
This is what I found when inspecting the furnace.
The box is wrong, the plug is wrong and the wiring is wrong. Nothing is protected from the elements of the weather. Where do'es the line that plugs in go? Let's take a good look at that one.
You can clearly see the deterioration of the exposed line. These lines cannot be left exposed to the weather. The suns ultra violet rays will break down the insulation on the lines and eventually end up with bare wires.
Remember when buying a home it is so important to get a home inspection from a Certified or Licensed home inspector. This is all we do.
