Colorado Mountain Dog Festival, Red Feather Lakes CO

Attention all Canines, the Colorado Mountain Dog Festival is happening this Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Beaver Meadows, in Red Feather Lakes- and it’s all about you! 

 

So, tell your humans that you want to go!

 

Saturday’s festival provides a great opportunity to spend the day in the mountains with your best friend- hikes, frisbee golf, live music, great food (of the people and canine variety, too I think), vendors, swimming for dogs in the lake, agility demos, canine photographers, doggie health seminars, prizes, giveaways, ..and an entire day of family fun!

 

Local canine specialists will be doing presentations on wellness, canine massage, acupuncture, weight loss, physical therapy and lots more! 

 

Free canine health checks by area veterinarians plus a Kid’s art contest and dog biscuit decorating!

Hi Sharon, it will be a great festival! My Josie is so sweet, but she's a little hellion- I might pick up some good pointers on doggie manners and maybe she can go next year! :-)

Disc golf!!! I love to play. I played a bit up your way once in a tournament. My dog would love to come, too. Unfortuately we can't make it. My weekends are booked up through the third weekend in October. Can you believe that? I have too much going on.

Debbie, I've never played disc golf and it looks like fun...work, work  work and NO play! Well, it's good to be busy, but I hope you get some down time, even if it's not on a weekend! We'll see what happens to my Saturday - best laid plans....

Yeah, I can't take my kids to a dogs allowed event either.  They LOVE the people, the other doggies, well not so much.  But for social puppies it sounds like a real treat.

Hi Tammy, my old dogs didn't like other dogs either, so I know what you mean--Josie loves to run and play with other dogs but I think she needs more practice/training before being around several other dogs- she's just too excitable.  I'm looking forward to the festival because there will be several people there who will have some helpful tips for little Miss Josie!

Mary, just wanted to let you know that Maddie and Holly are being punished for calling you a meanie!  They will not get to go Trick or Treating this fall and they will have to give up watching ANIMAL PLANET for a week.  However, they still do get to eat ice cream!  ^_~
