RAK (Random Acts of Kindness)

moo holderSURPRISE! I received two RAKS of late !!! Lucky, Lucky me!!!!

RAK=Random Act of Kindness. Have you given one before? Have you receive one? They are fun -  because they are random!

Sarah Cooper, you know her, I'm sure.... sent me the best kind one could receive - A Handmade Gift ! She has written to tell us about MOO Cards from Flickr.  We've been talking a lot lately, and randomly out of the blue.....

She sent me some of her MOO cards and a MOO card holder with a nice handwritten note!!!!

I know, I'm bragging, but I don't care. I was thrilled.  Handmade gifts mean a lot to me. I think of the time the person has devoted, the creativity, and the generosity in sharing.

THANK YOU AGAIN, SARAH!  IT REALLY MEANS A LOT !

Dale Chumbley gave me my other RAK.  I know, I know, you are tired of hearing about Twitter from me; I met Dale through Twitter.  Linda & Bob came up with a fun goal and many of the REALTORS(R) on Twitter "play".  We have a designation that's been named e-TWIT.  You have to reach 100 people following you & 1,000 "twits" (you'll know it when you see it).

Dale was almost at his goal of e-Twit when I began following him and pushed him to 100 !  He joked that he would have to think of a gift for his 100th follower.  Of course I didn't let go of a gift very easily - so I joked in return about it for a while.  He decided it was an opportunity for a RAK, I suppose. So guess what he did ?

He sent out an autographed book, Some Assembly Required, by Thom Singer .

I recommend the book, it's full of great information about networking. Thom is a talented speaker from what I hear & excellent writer, from what I know :)

THANKS SO MUCH, DALE ! I AM BENEFITING ALREADY FROM THIS BOOK - AND STILL IN THE BEGINNING CHAPTERS!

I'll tell you, I'm one Lucky Woman!  Thank you!  Share the love - send someone a RAK this week!

(psss Want an easy one? Ever thought of how touching it is to receive a handwritten card? That was icing on my cake with my Moo Card holder! )

Smiles on my face til it hurts! You are too kind and thank you for the posting!

I'm glad you love the book!  It is really good and I think it is of value to all us "real estate people" types!

I have so enjoyed getting to know you on Twitter and have had tons of fun.  I know there are many fun, crazy times to come.  I really appreciate you.

I too was a happy recipient of a RAK by the same Sarah!  Got me a cool Poker themed MOO card holder.  Very manly!  I also dig her a bit too!  ;?)

Missy, You'll get there! It's amazing how fast it'll come!

Hi Kim, I love the whole concept of RAK and... it's always nice to receive unexpected gifts just because! The world is full of wonderful people who surprise us when we least expect it.

Marti, ... and sometimes they are just the simple things, but leave a BIG smile!  We need more of those people in the world though :)

Hi Kim!  Great post. I did join twitter but I have no idea what to do now that I am on.  I love randon acts of kindness, and I try to do at least one every day.  I also love to send handwritten notes and try to send at least one to five of those every day (100 Days to greatness grad!).  Take care!

Twitter certainly adds another couple of dimensions to our online relationships. I also 'met' Dale there, as well as another 30-40 agents that I might not have known otherwise. Still working toward the e-Twit, and having a great time doing it!

John, Yes it does!  I'll be at your e-twit party!!!     See you there!

Shoot, I will probably never get my e-Twit.  I keep erasing the chatty ones to keep my twitter feed a little cleaner.

Lindsey, If you can't find it at your library (I think its pretty new) look at www.ThomSinger.com and his website, you can get it from there. He's written some others too I look forward to checking into !!

It is fun to be on the giving side of RAKs too! I agree!
