MOUNT DORA FL CRAFT FAIR OCT 26&27, 2013

29th Annual Mount Dora FL Craft Fair is being held Saturday October 26th 9am to 6pm and Sunday October 27th 9am to 5pm.

Historic downtown Mount Dora is a great place to just stroll around to built up some appetite to enjoy great food at one of the restaurants. There's also a Public Park on the lake and if you're like me, you will make your way to the park at sunset, be sure to have your camera!

October 26 and 27th will be a treat for those who are looking to start their shopping for the upcoming holidays. There will be vendors featuring arts and crafts, wood works and many many more. While you're in Mount Dora, be sure to visit some of the resident stores that are open until 5pm seven days a week.

During Craft Fair, streets will be closed to traffic so vendors could set up featuring their items. Unlike most parts of Orlando, Mount Dora gets more visitors in the winter months when snow birds arrive. You will enjoy the scenic view if driving to Mount Dora from metro Orlando area.

Beth, I like craft fairs because most of what people sell is unique and original. You can get things at a craft fair that we just don't see in the big box stores. It's not too soon to start gathering gifts for Christmas.

Beth sounds like a great way to spend a few hours. I love arts and crafts. That woodworking is really nice. I am into homemade stuff. I liked wood shop in high school and made a cutting board out of walnut and my mom still has it in the kitchen and uses it. I graduated in 76 which was like a 100 years ago.

Noah, how cool is that! I don't have a creative bone in my body but I do enjoy handmade arts and crafts, even if I don't purchase anything. I'm sure your mom cherishes the cutting board you've made in HS.

Toni, I visit Mt Dora often, even without the craft show, it's a great place to visit.

Belinda, there are some very unique stores, even for pets!

Kathy, even if you can't make it to the craft show, there are antique shops throughout Mt Dora.

Debbie, I probably say this every year but this year really flew by. It seems like I just took down my Christmas tree. Perhaps it's time for another visit to FL?
