San Jose Home Sellers - Memories Do Not Transfer With Your Home
When selling a San Jose home, the memories we have do not transfer with the sale of our home.
We all have wonderful and beautiful memories of times shared in our homes. We all have memories; some good, some great, some we are not so fond of and would like to forget. When it comes to selling our San Jose home we cannot place a monetary value on our memories. In other words, the value of our home does not increase because of our fond memories.
I understand it was your first home. I understand that you raised your children in the home. Believe me, I get that. However, our memories do not have the same value in the eyes of a prospective buyer. To a prospective buyer, your house is where they hope to create their home and their own memories.

Memories do not transfer with our home when we sell it. Those memories live in our minds and hearts forever. We can share them if we choose but no one can take them from us. They are ours and ours alone.
When it comes time to sell your San Jose home your memories are not sold with it. Your memories are packed up and taken with you wherever you go.
When we price your San Jose home to sell we are not adding a monetary value for your memories. It we do, your home won't sell. Buyers are simply not willing to pay for your memories. Buyers want to create their own memories. When those buyers sell they won't be able to sell their memories either.
In order to sell you home we need to focus on what needs to be done to prepare your home for sale. From there, we look at comparable homes sold and that is how the list price is determined.
As a prospective buyer, would you be wiling to pay more for another person's memories or would you rather spend that money on creating our own memories?
