Villages of Apex Grand Opening Today- The Best of Apex NC Real Estate

What a beautiful day today and a great way to spend my afternoon with a Grand Opening Event at The Villages of Apex.  I must admit I was very impressed with the entire presentation today for Realtors.  I had quite a busy day with a client in the morning, the luncheon at mid-day, and a required Ethics class in the afternoon.  Vicky Fernehough, my favorite teacher, taught the classs and she makes any class a ball including a mandatory Continuing Education class like Ethics.

Back to the reason for my blog - The Villages of Apex.   I wrote about the announcement of this exciting project back in August of 2007.  The project has evolved from the initial model with the basic concept intact.  However, the intent of the project, to mimic some of the same architectures and designs seen at North Hills in North Raleigh, is still there.  I have a feeling that I will need to write about each of the sections because there is so much that I saw today that I would be up until midnight writing about each one.  Ok, I'll be up until midnight just writing about my experience.

The bottom line - This project is HOT- Regardless of what you read about the real estate market in other parts of the country - our market is doing just fine, thank you, and based on what I've seen so far The Villages of Apex will thrive with their unique concept.

As I have mentioned previously in my posts, The Villages of Apex, when finished will include 1,300 condos, townhouses and homes, a private elementary school, a 13-acre park, 35 miles of walkways, 220,000 square feet retail shops and 80,000 square feet of office space.  Mayor Keith Weatherly has indicated this is the last project possible since there are no more remaining tracts of land this size.  Today I toured the model of The Regents of Old Mill Village.  They have already had several pre-sales.  Now is a great time to get in at the beginning of the project before the prices start to sky rocket.  At this point the prices sfor a 3 BR, 3.5 Bath Towhome start at $301k as a point of reference.  The townhomes in The Regents are built by North Hill Homes, Inc.

Here is an idea of the custom builder team that will be building at The Villages of Apex:

  • Apex First Development
  • Cattano Construction, Inc.
  • Cotton Custom Homes
  • Horizon Homes, Inc.
  • Jerry Smith Builders
  • Kerr-Smith Homes & Land, Inc.
