More and more older adults and elderly parents seek one-level living. For my seniors real estate clients, we track this market every day for new listings, price reductions, and trends in sale prices.
Our definition of one-level living generally includes features such as:
- Ranch style structure
- No basement
- Main floor laundry
- Main floor master bedroom
- Minimum or no steps from car to kitchen and living areas.
Location and driving time are also often important considerations for aging parents' downsizer homes. As of the day of this map, there were 157 listings that generally fit our criteria for one-level homes for sale around Rapid City.
