North Beach Harvestfest

Fall is here.  The leaves are changing.  The weather is turning.  There really is nothing as beautiful as the change of seasons in Southern Maryland.  With October peeking its head around the corner, you know what that means.  The North Beach Harvestfest is coming to town!

What: 2013 North Beach Harvestfest
Where: Bay Ave, North Beach
When: October 5th, 12pm to 6pm

What do crabs, pigs, ducks and chefs all have in common?  The North Beach Harvestfest, of course.  Craft and food vendors will be on-site selling their goodies to attendees.  Judging for the cream of crab soup cook-off will begin promptly at noon.  Everyone in attendance will also have the opportunity to enjoy live music throughout the day.  Watch the pigs and ducks race at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm at 5th St and Bay Ave.

If the smell of yummy cream of crab soup makes your tummy growl, you're in luck!  A sumptuous seafood feast will take place at the end of the pier.  You can even chase your food down with an alcoholic libation at the North Beach Harvestfest beer and wine garden (providing you're 21 or older, of course).  Free kids activities will be going on all afternoon as well.
