Well, today I completed the course and now can call myself an ASP Realtor! Even though ASP - Accredited Staging Professional - is not a recognized designation by the National Association of Realtors (yet), it still is a valuable designation to obtain, especially in a market like the one we're in now. Home sellers need every advantage they can get to have their homes sell quickly and for the most money possible. I'm glad I've obtained this knowledge of how to Stage a Home for sale, as my listings and home sellers will benefit from this knowledge. After all, that's our business, to use every method at our disposal to help our clients sell their homes.
Todays class included Staging a real home that's currently for sale here in North Jersey. All 53 of use headed to the site and were broken up into teams and each team was assigned a room. All we had at our disposal, was what we had in the house. In about 4 hours, we had completely transformed this "stale" property into a showplace. The hands on experience was invaluable. My team was assigned the Master Bedroom - it was a challenge, but in the end the room looked great and we received many compliments on our work. I'll let everyone know when the before and after pictures are uploaded to stagedhomes.com.
