Flower Mound Treasures Found in My Own Backyard

By
Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

The Fall temperatures are just right, so it's easy to get a move on when you don't have to sweat. In my haste to preview horse properties in wide-open spaces, I forgot my scan disk so I had to rely on my cell phone for pictures to send to my out of town buyer.

For me, today the true treasures I found were in own backyard waiting for me when I came home.  It only took a minute to take my scan card out of my PC and insert it into my 35 Millimeter Camera. These flowers were found in my own Flower Mound backyard on Wednesday afternoon, 9/25/2013.

Sometimes, the best things in life are free and they are no further away, than in your own backyard. In many regards, there are places closer than you think where you can bathe in beauty. I found my treasure in my Flower Mound backyard where nature is extra generous, waiting, anticipating my arrival. All Mother Nature wants is for people to pay attention!

Perhaps one of the best reasons why I love being a REALTOR®, besides making people happy to own their own home, is to see their faces, as they tell me one of their top priorities is to have a big enough yard to plant a garden. I share their passion. I have seen many roses, Japanese Gardens, Koi Ponds, herbal gardens, and backyards that grow flowers practically year round in Flower Mound and near-by cities; yet none makes me happier than being on the road all day long, coming home and discovering a treasure that wasn't there when I left the house that morning! Flowers are an important way to appreciate and improve the environment. In Flower Mound, the temperatures for growing a variety of flowers is just right

Patricia, you are becoming a great photographer!  Love the flowers in your backyard.  The temps here have dropped and I will be getting mums this weekend to add color to my front porch, deck and patio.  You are right we are surrounded by beauty from mother nature!

Hi Patricia, The pictures of your backyard treasures are wonderful. One of the observations I have made here in the Rain is how aware we all have become as we began to write and capture the treasures all around us. Now if we could teach this to the rest of the world. Good job!

All - Thank you for your generous compliments. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my flowers as much as I enjoy planting and tending to my garden. For me, flowers are a source of nourishment. I need it in my life and if I can do one small thing for the eco system, I feel proud and blessed.

Like children who need to be photographed so that a parent can look back an see the growth of what they brought into this world, I feel the same way about plants. Each flower has a sunny face all its own. You have to love them all and treat them well equally.

May you all have enough flowers in your life to keep you happy.
