What happened to Prudential Connecticut Realty?
We didn't close, we just put on a new suit! Same office, same people, same high level of service with a very, very classy new name! We were purchased in late 2012 by Berkshire Hathaway affiliate HomeServices of America, but we continued to work as Prudential Connecticut Realty. Until today that is.
We have unveiled our new name, and continue on in our new "clothes". I think it looks very, very classy, what do you think? Our new colors stand out from the rest, you can't mistake us for any other company now!
Being part of the Berkshire Hathaway family is a great thing.
I enjoyed my years with "The Rock", but am looking forward to an even better time with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services New England Properties. We have more tools than ever available to us to pass on to our clients. I haven't even begun to scratch the surface as to all that is now at our fingertips, but from what I have seen I am very, very excited.
Our clients don't have to do a thing. Signs are being changed, all contracts remain in full force, no need to do a thing. The team of Swiedler, Pomerantz & Adams will continue on as before, assisting sellers and buyers in Southern Litchfield County.
Now I am furiously working to learn how to use all the tools and toys given to us. I am also working on my website changes, signatures on emails, all sorts of things. You don't realize how many things you have to change until it comes time to make the change! (I am sure over the next few weeks I will run into a few stray sites with the name Prudential Connecticut Realty on it.)
So forgive me if you call the office and I stumble over what to say. Old habits do die hard, I have been answering the phones with "Prudential" for years! In a few weeks I will have the hang of it I am sure.
On a personal note, I am pleased to be affiliated with such a well recognized and well respected company as Berkshire Hathaway. And now with our name change, everyone will know we are part of the Berkshire Hathaway family.
They also have some pretty amazing ideas as to how to treat their agents such as a very well priced and very decent health insurance plan for all their agents to buy into. (Something our own association, NAR, has been unable to do for us) I always knew I liked Warren Buffet!

Talk about curb appeal! Here is our new sign above the office door in New Milford, CT. Doesn't it look amazing? I even got to help George the Sign Guy put it up, I handed him the letters as he put them in place.
