Excellent post Nicholas, I was listening to this information on the radio today and I thought what a shame.   Whatever happened to morality, abstinence, and purity.  I have always taught my children to love God first and then themselves.  My oldest son is 20 years old and my daughter is 15 and I am praying to God that they wait until they are married before engaging in sexual activity.  My god-daughter had a baby at 16 years of age.  I just don't know what is going on in this world today.  Such a sad situation for teens today.  I am totally in agreement to save our teens because they are the future.

Nicholas-Your idea is noble, yet doomed to failure. You can teach abstinence, which is the best way not to get pregnant or contract an STD, but without further education, it won't work. Kids are going to have sex no matter what they are told or indoctrinated with. Tell them not to have sex, but make sure they have access to birth control and information on safe sex practices to fall back on. There are many preachers daughters who get pregnant or get the clap.

Tell them not to have sex but then make sure they can do it properly sends a mixed message.  We need to reinforce that nobody should be doing this outside the confines of marriage, sex outside of marriage leads to STD's, unwanted pregnancy, lowered self-esteem, and many other problems.  Of course it seems unrealistic to assume our kids will not experiment all we can do is teach them that our society makes it look like everyone is doing it and we are to hold on to our purity.  There are plenty of people who are virgins on their wedding night because they were taught to wait until marriage. There are a lot of people who aren't, but lets not send mixed messages and say, "well...they are just going to do it anyway."  With that kind of attitude they probably will do it.

Thanks for the post and reminder. I do agree that abstinence is the key thing that should be taught to the youth. I believe that your body is a temple, and people should have enough self respect to abstain. If not for their own bodies, then fear of the Lord should stop them. It is a personal choice though, and all we can do is preach and lead through example!

Israel: America has been a moral society up to the 1960's where the new age of aquarius came and deceived many. I know this is difficult to imagine. But girls did and still can say "NO".

Jennifer: God's Way still works when we obey and trust Him. Look at the results when we try it man's way. Liberals say we have no control of our bodies. We are animals and have to have sex outside of marriage. No, we are a free moral agency and make choices, and have to suffer the consequenses of our actions.

Simon: You remind me alot of my fath-in-law. God rest his soul. He was a very moral man and an atheist. Jewish by birth, but atheistic through and through.

For many years, I tried to be the best example to him of the love of Jesus. He finally called on Him on his death bed. What an experience.

But, enough said, I really appreciate your high morals, and your example to your children. I know we are not always perfect, but it sounds like you did a pretty good job with your girls.

Nicholas-Good luck. I'm going to teach my daughter she should abstain. If she chooses not to, then I will do everything in my power to educate her about it so she doesn't get AIDS or become pregnant.

Mike: We are in the Ark already in Christ. The flood is coming, the signs are here and now. Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers.

Israel: Have faith in your daughter's choices. She needs to know you think she can be pure, chaste in body and soul. When she has that solid foundation, she will not depart from it. Morals come from a moral family, and morals run deep. Girls can say "NO".

Amain, disease comes upon people in my opinion to show them what they are doing is wrong. It's pretty hard to get a disease if you are not having Sex.Handing out condoms is trying to take away the consequences of having unmarried sex. It is actually making the problem worse. More people will be engaged and the result is more diseases, more unwanted pregnancy, and more used goods by way of non virgin women being already slept with by other men than their future husband. Women who have slept with other men cannot connect as well then with their husband and this also leads to cheating in mairrage and poor mairrages in general in my opinion
