In the last week businesses in McLeansboro have the ability to apply for liquor licenses. Voters made the okay in April and city officials have spent months drawing up an ordinance allowing restaurants, stores, ad clubs to sell alcohol. The city council passed the liquor ordinance on Tuesday, so no more having to drive out of the way for a glass of wine.
