Active Rain Challenge- Virtual Travel to Palm Harbor Florida
Gayle Rich-Boxman created a Active Rain Challenge during September where we have to choose a virtual place to live or travel to and our interest was developed and based on an Active Rain members blogging and/or video’s of the area, town, recreational places, city, etc. . My entry is Palm Harbor Florida and blogging and video’s which developed my interest were created by Barbara Jo Roberts Berberi and her Beach Blog. Her main area of coverage is much broader than just the Palm Harbor section of Florida.
We have said for several years we would love to win the lottery and own two homes one in the hill country of Texas and the other near on the beautiful Northern California coast after we leave Katy TX. The hill country is necessary due to cost and tax considerations plus we would really enjoy living in the Texas Hill country. This of course is our dream as we would have to win a big lottery in order to experience and live this dream out. The idea would be to live in Texas during the winter and live near the ocean during the miserable summer months.
When looking and reading all the different blogs about various areas and viewing numerous video’s, Barbara Jo’s Palm Harbor and surrounding area has always stood out for me. The beaches, ocean, parks, wildlife, restaurants various interesting places and beautiful homes is what captivates me and gets my interest. Barbara Jo shows us scenes of her venturing out all over this entire area. Walking and experiencing the beautiful beach areas is one key aspect that always grabs my attention. Ideally one day we love to be able to get up in the morning and take a nice long walk on a beach and watch the sunrise.
Barbara Jo’s significant other Ronnie loves to fish and several of Barbara ’s blogs give all of us a great view of the ocean in her area plus wildlife as many times she takes pictures and or videos from Ronnie’s boat as they travel around the area via the water. So many cool places to see and visit it is hard to pick one or another as I have never actually been to this area. She also gets my interest when she tells about cooking the fish that Ronnie caught on any given day for dinner. We are foodies and love to eat fresh seafood.
Here is one of her video's :
There are numerous parks and other attractions to explore and enjoy as I have learned from Barbara Jo. One of these days we need to take some vacation time to explore all there is to see in the Palm harbor area. Thanks Barbara Jo or sharing all of these gorgeous places and sites with the rest of us.
I would have added several more pictures but these changes made to the blogging overnight have made it more difficult to add pictures right now. Maybe I will figure it out later.
