Rainy Days and Mondays
We’ve got a big, blustery storm that moved into the Pacific Northwest over the weekend. It’s been blowing and quite rainy for several days. The forecast looks as if it’s here to stay for a few more days yet.
Therefore, instead of bemoaning a situation that can’t be controlled, such as weather, I’m going to embrace it. After all, there are several Gore-tex jackets in my closet, plenty of hats, and a couple pair of Hunter rainboots.
Plus, other than delivering keys to new buyers this afternoon, my day is free for catching up on online marketing and paperwork. It’s cozy in my home office, I’ll light a few candles, and sip hot tea. :)
Alexandra. Your day sounds great too. I'll be fine for a few more days, but then, we'd better see some drying.
Hi there Joan - yes indeed. I don't worry about my hair much when it's like this. :)
Deborah - it is messy when we have to trudge through yards, and muddy walk ways at times to show homes. But, that's why we get the big bucks right?
Q-man, by about February, I'll be ready. Do you have a large couch for all of us, including Mac? Hahaha. Just kidding.
Debb, we had that all of last week, every single day, all day long. I love rainy days as it forces me to catch up on things I wouldn't otherwise. I love your attitude!
Hi Debb - We saw what was happening on the news, and hope you guys dry out soon. After our week of rain, the sun being out yesterday was an irresistable magnet to get outside.
debb, We had the same weather and will be catching up on computer work all cosy with a cup of tea.
It's great to have a catch up day, especially with a cup of hot tea and time to get some work done.
Debb, What a good excuse to stay in and get work done and sip tea. Some things you can't change, you just embrace them.
Debb - rain serves many purposes and with yoru positive outlook on life, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to achieving. Whatever you decide to do, I know it will be worthwhile and productive.
Hi Debb, My day is much the same...instead of tea, a nice cup of coffee though! Congrats on your new home owners..always the best to give the keys..even on a blustery rainy day in the Pacific NW!
Debb, Sounds like a good day to stay inside and stay dry. Candles and hot tea should brighten the mood for sure.
Thumbs up to embracing the weather! Lots of rain can often signal changes coming - it is washing away the old to allow for the new!
Debb-
That sounds like a delightful plan, we have a little blue sky at the moment!
Debb: A good plan on a wet and rainy day...I hope you were able to catch up on all the things on your list. I did much of the same this past weekend.
I appreciate each and every comment - and the rainy day support. ;) We also had a bit of blue Adrian - now it's gray and rainy again. Ah, life in the Northwest.
I'll be taking a nap! The thunder and lightening along with the driving rain kept me up!
Francine - I talked to Nancy earlier - we didn't get the thunder storm you guys had - at least not yet.
Hi Debb -
I understand totally how you feel. I sell real estate in Corvallis, Oregon AND Santa Cruz, CA. Yes, right now I am in Santa Cruz with big blue sky. :) The funny thing is - CA wants the rain, actually NEEDS the rain. Let's send CA just a little rain.
Debb~ I'm not a huge fan of rain and blustery conditions, but once in a while I don't mind.
Debb - You have a way of making good out of a drab situation, I love that!
