Just in from the National Association of Realtors, who are in constant contact with the US Department of Housing & Urban Development, is the news that "the office of single family housing will endorse new loans under current multi-year appropriation authority in order to support the health and stability of the US mortgage market."

This is great news for all of us sitting here wondering if FHA closings will happen this week if the government does in fact shut down. Be sure to check the National Association of Realtors website for continued updates on this topic as we go through the day today.
