Been Caught Speeding Lately???

I haven't...but it's not because I drive the speed limit. I'm always more cautious when school is in because of the thousands of school aged children "out and about." So, this is not a blog to condone speeding but there are all times when YOU and I both have been "in a hurry" and gotten caught, or almost!

Jeff Kessler wrote a blog this morning that made me LAUGH OUT LOUD! His blog "shared" of a secret sight (I've never heard of) called Speed Trap website. Now you don't have to slow down. (jk) It made me laugh this morning and I wanted to share...please stop by his sight if you enjoyed this blog and THANK JEFF for the tip!! You too can seek and find the speed traps in your area or add some that you know of. Not a bad idea for those who have a lead foot...ya know?

This sight also offers tips including:

Anyhow, for those of you near Valrico, Florida, there is a SPEED TRAP located at Ranch Road and Bloomingdale. Seen it? Been a recipient of a speeding ticket there? Got another hot spot to report? Get on the website and share your knowledge! Your fellow drivers may be very thankful later.

This is perfect, not that I ever speed....my husband on the other hand but somehow manages to talk his way out of getting a ticket everytime! LOL! :)

Who has time to check the Speed Trap Site..? Gotta Run!

Susie--I saw this on the news and bet it may save a few people a buck or two. I got caught once over 10 years ago...I discovered cruise control after that. Too expensive to take a chance.

I've visited this site in the past and even contributed to the content. Ogdensburg, NJ known for its speed traps.

I've never been pulled over in my life, but cool site thanks for sharing. knock on wood that I dont get pulled over anytime soon. My philosophy is that I'll get there when I get there. I am a chill driver (probably the person that everyone honks at and tails for driving to slow).

Sweet! I'm adding a trap to my own city right now =D But that trap is there because I personally called the cops and asked them to put it there. I'm sick of people running the stop signs in our community.

that was interesting - there is a web site for just about everything!

Susie, didn't get a ticket for speeding but got one for "rolling" through a stop sign at "between 2 and 4 mph". Now that the local jurisdictions are getting the heck whacked out of their budgets, thanks to Florida voters and Amendment 1, you can bet the local police will be stepping up the ticket writing.

I remember speeding through a neighborhood once and a motorcycle cop stopped me. He was the best!! NOT because he DIDN'T give me a ticket (very cool) but because he asked me one simple question that made me thiink....

How would you feel if someone was driving through YOUR neighborhood that fast?

I answered "you know what officer, you are SO right! I have kids and I would be VERY upset if someone zoomed past my house as past as I just did here!"

Thank you, you gave me a more valuable lesson than a ticket ever would have!!!

Hi Susie! Hope you are having a fun weekend! I haven't had a speeding ticket since 1992. I got it out in Culver City, CA on Rose St. I attended a comedy traffic school up on Sunset Blvd. and actually learned quite a few things that I still use while driving. I enjoyed it too. How weird is that?
