Want North Reston, VA, but can't find the right home?

A lot of my business is working with buyers and sellers in the North Point Village of Reston, Virginia. This area is made of up of homes in the 20194 zip code and is also referred to as North Reston.  This area has great schools, close shopping, lots of paths, pools, tennis and great access to commuter routes.

That said, it is not right for every buyer. Some buyers don't want the premium that comes with this zip code, some want a bigger lot than the 1/2 acre that is considered a large single-family Reston lot. Still others prefer a newer house (20194 was built out in the mid-90s).

If you like the amenities of Reston, and want to stay close enough to use them-- but can't find your dream home, what are some options?

North Reston abuts Herndon on the west border. The 20170 zip code, particularly on the east side of Fairfax County Parkway is a great option for single family purchasers.  It is all detached housing and there are neighborhoods at a variety of price points. There are also some new subdivisions being built, so it can appeal to the purchaser that would really prefer a 'new' home.

For a buyer looking at a new home, this one might be an option: http://bit.ly/GzuhAy. Located just off of Route 7, Wiehle and/or Fairfax County Parkway, this home is centrally located and brand new!

For a buyer who would like some land, this rambler sits on over an acre of land on Reston Avenue and has 5 garage spaces,  http://bit.ly/18GRGYC

Maybe you are looking for a home that would be close to Reston, but might allow you to have a poolhttp://bit.ly/1fDw9ri. This home, located in the Shaker Woods Subdivision might fit the bill.

If you would prefer a townhome, but aren't finding what you want in North Reston, the 20190 Zip code is a great option. It includes the orginial Reston, Lake Anne (where many of the Townhouses have been updated) and Reston Town Center.

Here are a couple of options:

This one on Scandia Drive, http://bit.ly/GzwHif, is very close to the new Silver Line Metro and features hardwood flooring and updated kitchen.

Or this one at the base of Reston Town Center, http://bit.ly/16aKeXj, is just across New Dominion Parkway and is in walking distance to shops, restaurants and the Reston Hospital complex.

Finally, this very affordable 3 Bedroom/2 Bathroom home in Northgate Square, http://bit.ly/1bmzNAE has stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors and an outdoor entertaining space.

If you want to be in or near Reston, but like the Langley High School Pyramid, there are some close-by options.

In Reston, but still part of the Langley Pyramid, is the Wyndham Hills subdivision. This is home is an example of what you can find in that neighborhood, http://bit.ly/GzwL1l. Many upgrades and a fenced in yard!

On Reston Avenue, with a Herndon address,  this beautiful home is currently districted for Forestville Elementary, Rachel Carson and Langley High School,  http://bit.ly/14YFgMD

Finally, this one is actually in Great Falls (22066 zip code), but at a lower price point--and still close to Reston, http://bit.ly/1fDAlri

As you can see from this list, there are a lot of options for buyers who like North Reston, but have been unable to find the perfect home. If you are looking for something specific and have been unable to find it, please give me a call and let's find your new home!
