Maine Farm Barn

To create a healthy lifestyle, day to day being more self sufficient, more contained with Jack of all trade skills. And being around other neat folks after the same farming lifestyle. Many with the background but not all so it's a work in progress. Not like the television show Green Acres. No climbing telephone poles to make a call.

Get you hands in the dirt, raise crops, critters, both. Small animals, chickens that lay your daily allotment of eggs. Milk from a cow or two, or a goat. Helping hay and split wood for the coming winter. Building a barn or repairing one if you are lucky enouh to have a Maine farm spread with one in place.

Everyone used to be farmers not so long ago.

And more and more Maine real estate property buyer's calls are asking for a home with land around it. The more the better. They want to own a Maine farm. Something with open land for fields, pastures. And wooded sections for a heat source, for lumber to build with and maybe a maple grove to tap for the sweet stuff, the syrup.

What type of Maine farm, farmette are you thinking fits the one in your dreams? All price ranges, types, locations of Maine farms available. Let's talk about what you plan to do with the land in Maine. And don't rule out farms without the buildings. Just land that often has the well and septic, the power and driveway in. But you supply the home in Maine. When you are ready.

Building the Maine home, structure slowly with as much of you in the process as you can squeeze in.

Or being built, constructed to your specs. Either way, have it your way. Just like Burger King. We're all out of the paper crowns, the hats though.

Videos for Maine farms. The easiest show and tell to get you up to speed. Watch, listen, learn. Then fire away with lots of questions about owning your Maine farm for the rural hobby or commercial approach to living in the Pine Tree State.

Maine, think simple. Think outdoors and all natural, unfiltered, pure.

Andy, Whenever I think about Maine, I think about you. I don't anyone who promotes the lifestyles, culture, and real estate in Maine the way that you do. Your videos certainly tell a great story, and help us relate to the Maine Farm areas. Keep up the Great Work!

Andy, Sally and David Hanson just wrote about how wonderfully you "display" Maine in your blogs, videos, etc. and that they'd like to come visit (right now, virtually, as in an entry for my Virtual Traveller contest), and I just had to see for myself!

LOVE this particular video. Your views, your words, the ideas for spaces...wonderful! It's small town, "homeland" in the most wonderful way possible.

Jerry ... Thank you for the kind words....I am certain you have the same passion for your state, the way you throw yourself into service for buyers and sellers in your area too!

GRB.... Maine is all about unfiltered, natural, four season drop dead gorgeous beauty. The place, the down to Earth people are the catalyst for wholesome living, contentment.

Such a truly gorgeous area! I would love my own farmette with chickens and goats and a huge garden. I secretly dream of being a beekeeper and falling off the grid. I wonder if I would be missed?

Okay, I have not a clue as to how the above just happened. Tried to edit it and it won't let me. Weird.

Looks cool to me...thanks Debb! Unfilter... like the way to have your fresh squeezed apple cider, orange juice...with all the pulp, good stuff. Like a Maine potato, don't throw away the peeling...it is the best part with a little butter, pepper...yum.... after picking potatoes in Maine, it tasted so good after all that fresh air.
