In order to stop the insanity there has to be a mind to assault everything that is not truth.  The truth is that we have experienced a market fluctuation.  Is that all so bad?  After all we live in a topsy turvy world.  Honestly did we think that the good times would roll and keep on rolling?

We're in a season where the steadfast stay steadfast.  The fly by nights fly away.  Unfortunately in every market there are people who don't make it.  Believe it or not there were people in our biggest boom days that just couldn't get going.  The were also others who caught the wave of success and didn't truly acquire knowledge about the industry. Unfortunately they too will suffer if they are still without knowledge.

I believe the madness will come to a halt at least among the pros in the industry.  The truly professional will find ways to work in the market.  They will be the ones to introduce stable ways to assist their clients and bring profit to their own businesses at the same time.

Believe me this stuff didn't all happen over night.  it's been a long time coming.  Of course nobody likes when plans go off kilter.  But that's the way of our world. Nothing lasts forever. The bigger picture is seen by men and women who are always looking at the future knowing that what they see is subject to change.  Even with the changes they see, they also know they can always paint a new future starting from where they are.  In other words they realize the paint only dries when we die.

Are you ready to stop the insanity?  Keep on painting your future.  Just remember it's an everyday job and the paint stays wet as long as you keep painting.

Stay in the game,

Ced

Ced,

That was well said. I like to think of myself as a diehard optimist, but in the current market it is sometimes easy to ask " why is this happening to me?". Logically I know that it is not just happening to me, but emotionally I still struggle with it. Your analogy about painting a new future is right on. Don't look back, just start where you are and get painting. Thanks for the nudge. Sometimes we all need one.

Ced, quite a refreshing way to look at things.  I really appreciated what you said.  I have been saying the same thing, but not with the eloquence , "In other words they realize the paint only dries when we die...Keep on painting your future.  Just remember it's an everyday job and the paint stays wet as long as you keep painting."  I like that.  This statement is true in every aspect of life.  It is not over until we die.  We can change what needs to be changed, our attitude, our knowledge, our mind, etc...  We need to keep on keeping on.  THank you again.

Hi Cedric, we definitely should stay focused on what we believe.  We can write our own books and allow no one to edit it.  Thank you for the post.  Keep the positive attitude.

Sonya, thanks for the encouraging words.  Let's remember success breeds success.  We ought to choose to be breeders.

This reminds me of a song I heard on the radio but don't know the name of the song.  The lyrics said "only you can write on the pages of your book so keep writing."  If we just sit down and wait, life will pass us by - and so will any opportunities that may present themselves during this trying time in real estate.  So get up and get moving - do something!
