Q. My wife and I are thinking about selling our two story home and buying a single story home. What is the best time of the year to sell?
A. Hi Ravi,
The best time of the year to sell a home in Katy is when it fits into your plans. Some people think that spring and summer is the best time of year to sell. While it is true there are more buyers in the market in the spring and summer, it is also true that there are more sellers and prices are often more competitive in spring and summer than they are in other months when fewer homes are for sale. That being said, if you are buying in the same area during the same time of year, then your situation will balance itself accordingly which is why the time of the year is irrelevant.
