How to Start My San Diego Home Search
Getting started on your San Diego Home Search is a lot easier than you think. What I have found in the last seven years of doing real estate is that people like to browse a bit before they start opening some doors. There are also some easy steps to follow to get the search going.
First, identify a neighborhood for your home search. In this case, we are in San Diego. We have a number of communities that you can call home. Some questions to ask yourself, where do you want to live? What's your household look like? Do you want to be near schools? How long of a commute to work do you want? What's your ideal home look like? Is it a condo or a detached house? What do you like to do on the weekends? Thse are all imporant questions to ask yourself when finding a home.

Once you've got the home narrowed down on your home search in San Diego, you can set up listing alerts. Listing alerts will allow you to see the properties as the come up in real time on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS in REALTOR Speak).
Typically, then you'll drive the neighborhood to check out the area and see if it's a house you'd like to get into. That's where I come in.
