One day I'll meet Bryant Tutas Short Sale Expert.
Even though, as a blogger, he has a rather scary alter ego named Bertha and even more terrifying...I mean LOVELY whip-wielding wife… as a person and short sale pro to spend some time with and get to pick his brain, I choose Broker Bryant Tutas of Tutus Town Realty in Poincianna, FL.
Broker Bryant is a prolific AR blogger, author of Broker Bryant’s Real Estate Ramblings. He knows a truck-load about short sales, knowledge all gained in the field and shared here in the Rain. He has a smile that makes you smile back, and if the smile didn’t do it, his blogger’s voice certainly would.
Bryant was one of the most colorful characters I encountered when I began blogging on AR. Naturally, once I’d discovered his very engaging voice in the short sale space, I sought it out often. I admire the way he speaks his mind and heart with earnestness and good humor, even when he knows that his is likely neither the popular nor the politically correct position. Sometimes ya just gotta say what needs to be said, right, Broker “Pull-no-Punches” Bryant?
Plus he has a naturally sharing heart, and I find that endearing. That was the 2nd thing I noticed about him (after his unique voice) -- his willingness to freely share what he learns or knows, both professionally and personally. He does the same in his membership group (I am a member), Short Sale Superstars , which he founded with Wendy Rulnik also an AR blogger and short sale expert.
He lives with the roof off, so to speak, so you get to feel like you know him even though you’ve barely exchanged more than a few words online. I can identify with that trait. I’m like that myself to certain extent, and try to open my roof to my readers from time to time, so I’m happy when I spy that same leaning in others.
As Florida is Georgia’s next door neighbor, I do expect I will one day have the opportunity to see Bryant’s smile in person, shake his hand, and sit down over a cup of something good and talk about short sales in the southeast. I look forward to it.
