Hi Kristin -- the red flag warnings are up as was the wind these past couple of days. While fires are not totally preventable, we can be prepared to report dangerous conditions and to act accordingly.

We have rain but it just runs off and doesn't really help any. We have had Santa Ana winds recently and southern California escaped without any major fires. So glad!

Yes it can be devastating when personal property, animals and homes are destroyed and especially from someone who deliberately sets it.
