What does it take to stage and sell a home in one day?

 

  • First , be a motivated seller.
  • Next engage professionals who are  experienced at  staging and marketing, and selling homes.   
  • Then, insist that that the home be totally move-in ready and turn key ready before the "for sale" sign goes in the yard.    
  •       

 

Now how long does it take to prepare a home to sell in one day?

 

A home that has been well maintained only needs a day or two for professional cleaning of carpets, windows, and deep cleaning inside and out and then a day or two for staging. Thus such a home could be made ready to sell in  about a week.

When there is painting, repairs to be done, and decluttering required, then allow time for all repairs and decluttering to be completed prior to professional cleaning.

The last step prior to placing the sign in the yard is the staging, which is like the icing on a cake.  You would not sell an unfrosted cake at a bake sale, would you?  Then don't try to sell your home before it is staged.
