HALLOWEEN – DIA DE LOS MUERTOS PARADE AND CARNIVAL
Saturday, October 26, 2013 - Parade 9:30 am; Carnival 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Soquel Ave at the Buttery and Gault Elementary School
Gault Elementary School invites all of Santa Cruz to come out and enjoy our annual fall celebration. Festivities include the Costume Parade down Soquel Avenue and culminate with the Carnival on the Gault School grounds, featuring games, food, prizes, music, and trophies for the best home-made costumes! Costume judging and parade assembly is at 9:00 am on Soquel at The Buttery. Parade march begins at 9:30 am. All are invited to march in the parade! The carnival will follow immediately, and will continue until 2:00 pm. Carnival activities include a Spinning Barrel-o-Fun Ride, Sugar Skull decorating, our ever-popular cakewalk, jump house, and other great games. Come join us for good old-fashioned spooky fun! HALLOWEEN MASK-MAKING AND HAUNTED THEATER

Louden Nelson Community Center
Glitter, ghoul, feathers, phantoms and fun, this event has it all. Spend an afternoon creating decorative masks with your family, take a walk through our “Never-green” cemetery full of gooey surprises, be transported into a spooky scene in our phantom photo booth or take a tour of our haunted theater. There’s something for everyone! This annual event is a great way to get in the Halloween spirit. FREE!

Parade begins at Pacific Cove Parking Lot - 2:00 pm
Calling all ghosts, goblins, boys and ghouls…mark your calendars for the annual Capitola Village Children’s Halloween Parade . Line-up begins at 1:30 PM in the Pacific Cove Parking Lot above Capitola Police Department and City Hall. The parade begins promptly at 2:00 PM. Parade route will head down Capitola Avenue to the Esplanade ending at Esplanade Park where there will be refreshments. If you would like to help with the parade, please call the Capitola-Soquel Chamber at 831.475.6522. Parade is sponsored by Capitola Village Merchants and the Capitola-Soquel Chamber of Commerce.
Break out your creepiest zombie gear and join the invasion for a night of undead rocking to DJ Frank Zummo and a don't-miss performance by Street Drum Corps' Blood Drums.
The Halloween bash includes creepy costume contests with cash prizes, photo booths, zombie drink specials in the Bay View Lounge and undead delicacies available all night long!
