I was out this morning and just now able to post a blog about the market.  While I was following the ins and outs of mortgage rates, I regret that I could not post earlier.  Yesterday was one of those days I could have locked 10 loans in if only I had more time.  We repriced for the better late in the day and I was only able to lock 2.  Today, with the uncertainty in the market - Rates are posted back up and have remained flat all day.

Retail sales posted down .06% - Economic forecast was for a slow increase of .02%...Crude oil is approaching $110 and the dollar continues to weaken.  The Fed can lower rates all they want at this point, but until lenders relax on the guidelines, the mortgage market is going to remain "stuck" so to speak.  In time the economy will work itself out but I think the big banks have tightened up the guidelines a little too far.

More to report tomorrow as CPI (consumer Price Index) report due out at 8:30am that's presession...so will have some affect on how the rates post at 9:30am ...Good Luck!
