Beech Creek is located at the corner of Highway 261 and Raccoon Road. This is the site of the Battle of Beech Creek and is the last site of a civil war battle in South Carolina. Beech Creek is approximately 4 miles and 10 minutes to Shaw Air Force Base, approximately 10.5 miles or 13 minutes from major shopping in Sumter, and approximately 28 miles or 32 minutes from I-77 in Columbia.
