I am so excited to have several in my office here on Activerain and many actually blogging. However, their blogging is like my blogging was 3-4 years ago:(

Three of my agents are leaving next week to attend the Tennessee Association of Realtors Spring Conference in Franklin,Tennessee. I normally go but with all three of these agents leaving, someone has to hold down the fort!

Every week, we hold a training meeting to educate our agents. In addition to myself, 4 other agents in my office are members of Activerain. I am so proud! There are only a total of 7 agents here(including myself).

Since we will not have a training meeting next week, the following week we will have a special Activerain training session.

I will train the trainer, all my activerain agents and anyone else that shows up how to blog here on Activerain. We will learn about localism, titles, cloud tags, key words, catchy titles that Google likes and the public likes, how to enter and position pictures. I better stop there because the training only lasts from 1.5-2 hours.

Anyone out there had Activerain training in their office? Maybe this will be a first!

I've thought about this too, but was overwhelmed as soon as I thought of it! Hah. Am curious to know who else has done this and how successful it is. Would love for you to post and update on how it goes.

Wendy,

I will let everyone know how it goes. I have been spending a little one on one time with most of the agents and quite a bit with my trainer but a formal class should be fun and educational!

Hi Mike,

Congratulations on your Agent participation and membership in Rain. It sure is a great place to be.

We work in an office of "Seasoned Agents" none of which have "Time" for rain! That's fine, my Team mate and I will do our thing and they will do theirs.

Your in-house training sessions sound like fun. It's always great to learn new things. Too bad we aren't closer, we would drop in.

Good luck.

Mike,

You all are more them welcome, being new to Rain, you would have to bring a "Seasoned" Rain trainer with you though. Grin!

WOW!  This is a really good idea Mike.  That is really good for you to share that information with your office.  That is really good.

Kimberly,

Looking at your profile and points, I bet you could come and teach us!

Mike - I would much rather discuss price than ever have to apologize for quality!  Should I start packing or do you need my PayPal account first!?!?  (Big Smile...really BIG!!)

I think the fact that you are helping your agents with their Blogging skills is more than admirable!  Active Rain is the Best place to start and run a Blog!  I can prove it!  I would love to come be a part of your training in any way I can.  Call Bob Stewart or Jonathan and let them know they need a field trainer, I could be there in a few hours!

Mike - Tina Merritt and I just did one yesterday with some of the realtors in her office.  I wrote a blog about it.  It's not all abot me!  Meet the Long and Foster Ocean Front Ladies!  It turned out to be quite fun as well and would love to help others as well!

Mike, that is really a great idea.  I wish I still lived in Brownsville, because then it would be close enough for me to come for your class. I would love to really know what I should be doing, because right now I am just playing in the rain.  I don't have a clue.  But, I am trying to teach myself and do a lot or reading, and practicing.  Vickie

Well Mike, you inspired me. I am going to attempt to use my limited knowledge to hold a training session in one of our weekly meetings. I think I bit off a lot, but I believe in this so much, I want our office to reap the benefits. Most have already joined, but aren't using it too much. I hope I can help change that. Thanks for the idea and inspiration. Now where do I begin...or end?

Naoma,

Great post and thanks for the comments here.

Vickie, a lot here are just playing in the rain and haven't a clue what they are doing!

Wendy, I would start near the end looking at actual localism posts that have been indexed ahead of all the websites. Show the benefits that will spark the interest then start on basics.

Mike: Great post. I have 5 agents recently signed on to Active Rain in my new office. I'm not sure why some just turn their heads to blogging. Maybe the see it as too much commitment.

Sounds great, Mike. It'd be great if Memphis brokerages could garner the same level of enthusiasm. Your lively interest in Active Rain should become contagious in Tennessee. Hope your having a fine Sunday afternoon in beautiful Dyersburg.
