Stone Mountain State Park, Georgia - Laser Show, Camping, & Snow Mountain were a lot of fun this year.

We used our membership plus last Winter, Summer, and can use it again in November this year because it's almost time for Snow Mountain again! A great place for hiking, camping, fishing, and fun all year round.

Snow Mountain State Park Georgia

Stone Mountain State Park, Georgia in Winter turns into Snow Mountain with artificial snow. I take my boy (Kamron) each winter to play and slide down the snow covered hills, and have a fun filled day. It takes 2 hours to get there from Warner Robins. Snow Mountain includes five football fields of fun with a 400-foot hill in family-sized tubes, or single rider tubes, snowman building, and snowball shooting.

I believe he was 2 years old the first time I put him in an inner tube and pushed him down the hill. He's a speed demon - the faster, the better. Last year I decided to get a membership plus for both of us so we could get free parking, year round access to the park, and discount on all purchased items.

Camping at Stone Mountain State Park, Georgia

This summer we went camping at Stone Mountain State Park. I wanted to go and see the Laser Show and Kamron wanted to Ride the Ducks. We spent two nights in a tent next to the lake. The first evening we set up our tent, checked out the area, and went to watch the Laser Show. The laser show was truly spectacular, and would have been more fun except for the light rain, and the fact I left the rain jackets in the car.

Sky Hike at Stone Mountain State Park, Georgia

The second day we had even more fun with Sky Hike, Ride the Ducks, and other activities inside the park with free access with our membership cards. We did spend money however on food, drinks, novelty items, firewood, and bait for fishing. We also watched the fireworks display from lakeside view of Stone Mountain next to our campsite fire. We should have checked the weather forecast to avoid any rain - it was a little tricky getting the fire going with wet kindling.

P.S. Kamron fed his popcorn to the squirrels. I told him he could give some popcorn to the squirrels, but I didn't think he would dump the whole bag right next to the tent. The squirrels (Swiper) came back later and chewed a hole in the tent across a zipper seam to get to the marshmallows, so now we need a new tent. Then a bunch of geese showed up for breakfast the next morning, so don't feed the animals.
