Fountain Crest at Lake Oconee groundbreaking ceremony was held September 19, 2013. Constrution is underway for the premier senior living community, located just off of the Lake Oconee Parkway (Hwy 44) in Greensboro, Georgia.
Dr. Bob Cowles is one of the key members of the development team and has worked diligently over the last 10 months on many aspects of the planning and development for this project.
The new Senior Living Community development is expected to bring in about 100 new jobs to the area.
The facility is being built on a 14-acre site which fronts Old Linger Longer Road and Lake Oconee Parkway, just across the road from Cowles Clinic. Dr. Cowles is a nationally recognized physician who founded the clinic.
Also, it will be just a few miles away from the new St. Mary's Good Samitians Hospital being constructed on the Lake Oconee Parkway.
The new senior living community will provide options for many Lake Oconee area residents who may be looking for a place for loved ones suffering from Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. The community will provide beautiful, spacious residences in its assisted living area,with a caring staff. The programs are designed to provide rehabilitative care in a service rich environment.
Fountain Crest's first phase will consist of 75 independent living apartment and cottages, 30 assisted living and 26 memory care residences. There will be one, two and three bedroom apartment homes, as well as two and three bedroom cottages. Developers are excited about the "state-of-the-art facility" that will have a fitness center, exercise studio, sauna,examination and consultation rooms and a full-sized swimming pool. The amenities package offers many of the same options as an upscale subdivision!
