I'm not sure if I'm the lone wolf or if we as a country are in a complete state of denial.

It appears, a certain leader (George W. Bush) of our country has lost his conscience.  Can we stop him?

I only hope that our children have a country left when he is removed from power.

Why, are we not , as a people, as a government, addressing this?

I am disturbed by reading about all the innocent soldiers who have given their lives and lost because of erroneous reason s attributed to terrorism & more popularly "Weapons of Mass Destruction"  which seems to be confused with "Egomaniac Promoting American Destruction".

How long do we think the world will let this charade continue?   The line between East and West has been drawn.

In the name of our children please pray for peace and remember the futility involved in lives lost due to a cause that doesn't hold water...This is not a religious plea, but rather a plea to use our energy to initiate change.

Forget Global Warming, Forget the crazy man in North Korea - if we don't stop what's happening in the Middle East.  We won't have a globe to warm or protect.   Recognize the significance of this madness.

Pray for PEACE.

Amen. I'm not sure he ever had a conscience. Either way, the destruction cannot continue. If nothing else, we need to work together, ALL of us to batlle climate change before it elimates all of us.  Wars contribute untold damage to the ecosystem as well as the horrendous cost in lives lost and ruined. We have to learn to understand that simple solutions are often the most elegant, effcetive and best. We have to learn to understand why people believe the way they do and what their life experience and circumstances are before we condemn them for not agreeing with us. We don;t have to agree, we just have to learn to agree to disagree in a way that is not deadly to any side in a situation.

Consensus is a powerful thing but it can never be reached until all parties are open to hearing and trying to really understand the other's position and then to find a solution that everyone can live with. It means finding common ground  and the need to consider the possibility that we could both/all be wrong about whatever it is. It doesn't mean abandoning your position or changing someone else's mind. It means finding a nonvioloent solution that everyone can live with. Perhaps some day it willo be possible to live this way. Probably not in our lifetimes. In the meantime we need to remember Ghandhi's admonition to be the change we wish to see in the world.

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.

Kevin & Sherry,  Thank you for providing the tools to communicate with those that have influence.  I have contacted my senators and representative.  Your links made it so easy!  Here is to the hope that our prayers will be heard!  Peace...

Kelly - there will always be someone in power that stands for everything we are against.  It's sad..but it's true, and I really admire your strong stance....but because we cannot do anything to get this guy out of power, we can at least try to laugh (while we do something about it, of course).   Take a look at this clip........I hope I don't offend you with this, and hope it at least brings a smile to your face.

As Deb mentioned in her comment...consensus is a powerful tool... Over at the ECO-friendly group we have been working on some ideas and sharing them..we are noticing a trend toward energy efficient homes, some of us are giving fluorescent light bulbs as closing gifts and in Asheville there are 379+ Healthy-Built homes in progress!  Hey! would love it if you joined us at the ECO-friendly group if you haven't already! http://activerain.com/groups/GREEN

Kelly, I couldn't agree with you more.  How he even got "elected" makes my stomach turn.  Everything about him makes my stomach turn.

We CAN do something to get this guy out of power but too many people are too complacent to really take the time and energy to make their sentiments known to the Congress or take to the streets and those who do find that the political status quo needs more momentum from their side to facilitate any change. Ghandhi and King demonstrated that it is possible but it does take time and we are quickly running out of that precious commodity.

It probably is true, barring some incredible disaster, since we already seem to be in the middle of the next election cycle, thet our energy is better spent on getting a lot more changed than just the "decider".

It is very sad when even the generals say this is a really bad idea and no one listens. Speaking of Generals, it's too bad we didn't listen to Eisenhower.

Hi Rick and Inez - thanks for the comments and the clip.  It really captures George Bush in all his glory.  How scarey is that?  It did make me smile!  Gobble gobble...

Jane,  Hopefully we will still have a planet to protect.

Hi Ms. Kelley - Good to hear from you! Yep my stomach turns daily too...

Deb You made really good points.  We've lost so many good soldiers who were stationed here in Hawaii and to see more go, with families, young children and a wonderful future ahead of them - to risk their lives for this President's ego is so very sad.
