One of my favorite places, historic downtown Tarpon Springs is having an Oktoberfest on Oct. 18 2013 from 5pm-11pm; and Oct 19 10am-11pm. This will be a fun event with a Biergarten Tent surrounded by vendors, food, beer and wine tasting: along with continuous music, dancing, and games. How fun.  We have always wanted to go to October Fest in Germany.  A German friend dissuaded us saying the whole thing is a big mess, but iif we insisted go to a small village where the celebration is authentic.  And the Germans celebrate in September!  Go figure. A
