A Day at the Las Cruces Farmers Market
I really can not think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning than grabbing a few canvas shopping bags and head to downtown Las Cruces for the Farmers Market. There are so many things to see, hear, and of course taste there.
Fresh, organic food
Our mission was to find fresh produce for dinner and if we found a chocolate covered strawberry and a brewed iced latte, so be it. (Hey, at least we passed up the Belgian waffle wagon)
The Las Cruces Farmers Market is much more than a bunch of vendors selling their products, it is a gathering of a community on a sunny Saturday morning in southern New Mexico.
You're going to find it here
Folks come downtown every Wednesday and Saturday morning for much of the same reasons I did - meet friends and catch up, pick up a last-minute gift for a special occasion, find fresh produce for the week or to just take in some beautiful New Mexico sunshine while listening to one of the many musicians who perform mini-concerts on Main Street.
There are so many vendors at the Las Cruces Farmers Market, from coffee vendors to the guy that sells incense. From quilts to stained glass work. From hand-made soaps to recycled furniture creations. You are sure to find something wonderful here.
Come check it out
So, come on down and see for yourself why hundreds of Las Crucens go downtown every Wednesday and Saturday morning from 8:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. You won't forget the experience and you'll likely be back very soon!
