Personal Notes ... "Three Great Wine Stores - 1/2 Hour Away" - Ocean City, New Jersey
If you happen to be a wine drinker, and you are always on the lookout for new wine or a particular one that you can't find; there are three (actually five) great wine stores within a half hour of our little barrier island, Ocean City (NJ).
I can't think of a better arrangement than these locations so close to our little corner of the world. Of course, the main-stay would be "Circle Liquor" on the old "round-about," now gone in Somers Point before getting on the #52 bridge/drive over to Ocean City. Passion Vines has a smaller store in Somers Point in the Wal-Mart Plaza behind the Acme, and a second one on the back road passing the Shop-Rite a few miles from Somers Point. There is another crossing the 34th Street Bridge and leaving Ocean City ... about a half mile out of town. Another one is located on the Tilton Road heading to Boscov on the left side of the street ... can't recall the name. Finally, one more chain with about 2 or 3 stores further out along the Tilton Road ... another name out of my data bank.
The critical factor that Ocean City being a "dry town" (no alcohol served and no bars in town) is that there are so many locations to purchase everything, but more importantly good wine. By the way, I only drink wine ... no other alcohol beverages ... and I am mostly looking for a glass or two of wine with dinner.
