Southern Maryland Halloween Costume Ideas

Don't spend an arm and a leg on a Halloween costume. Use these Southern Maryland Halloween costume ideas for a clever costume quick.Halloween costumes have gotten extremely elaborate and expensive over the last few years.  You don't have to spend an arm and a leg to create a fantastic outfit this year, though.  Visit any Salvation Army, Goodwill or St Vincent De Paul store to create the perfect get-up for trick-or-treating.  Here are a few Southern Maryland Halloween costume ideas ideas you can use for your children or yourself this Halloween season:

Search the MLS to find your next Southern Maryland homeHippie, Hobo, Mechanic or Greaser - Clothes make up the largest part of most thrift stores.  You can use items from your own closet and go searching for special pieces at thrift stores to complete your outfit.  Since you only spend a couple of dollars per item, you won't feel bad shredding up an old jacket or pair of pants to create your hobo/hippie look or adding grease stains to an old pair of overalls for a mechanic's costume.

Black Outfit Gone Good - A black shirt, black paints and black shoes can be turned into a scary skeleton with some white, glow-in-the-dark fabric painted bones added on.  Add skeleton face paint to complete the look.  Or, take that all black outfit, pin mismatched socks, a dryer sheet and a couple of inflated balloons to become static cling.  You can also parade around as the junk drawer by using the black outfit as a base and adding pencils, pens, a tape measure, post-its, etc.

Fruity Proposition - Transform your little one into a bundle of grapes using dark colored clothing as the base to pin green, purple or dark red balloons.

There are so many possibilities for creating Southern Maryland Halloween costume ideas.  You are only limited by your imagination, not your budget.  Visit your local Calvert County thrift shop to scrounge up the makings of your own magnificent costume today.  Remember, when you purchase something from the Salvation Army, Goodwill or St Vincent De Paul, the money goes to helping those less fortunate in your community.  That's always a good thing.
