Rutherford County approves building for 887 new homes

In middle of discussions whether to issue a moratorium on new residentail building, the Daily News Journal reports that the Rutherford County Commission has approved building plans for 887 new homes.  Real estate in Rutherford County continues to boom!

The Rutherford County housing developments where the plans were approved are:

  • Lewis Downs subdivision on Rock Springs Midland Road

  • Pinnacle Hills, Section I, off Thompson Road in the Rockvale area

  • Chestnut Valley, Section I, off East Jefferson Pike in the Lascassas school zone

  • Timber Ridge, Section III, on Midland Road
  • Earp Corner, Section I, on 5 acres off Ridley Earp Road in the Buchanan area
  • Earp Corner, Section II, on 6.5 acres off Ridley Earp Road

Preliminary plans were considered for:

  • Bruce Heights, Section I, off Rucker Road
  • Poplar Cove, Section II, off West Sagefield Drive in the Stewarts Creek schools zone
  • 203.9 acres in Springhouse S.D. off State Route 96
  • Buchanan Estates off Rucker Road
