For Halloween, I had plans to go to a party where I would know almost all of the attendees. It's a fun bunch of folks who like to drink and laugh. Alas, the near-hostess decided not to have the party, so I'm sharing my costume idea to you.
I was going to go as Siri. I am a recent new owner of an iPhone 5 and Siri is my new best friend. She has some crazy funny things to say and can be quite unpredictable at times.
So this was my costume idea ... gather enough cardboard to cut, paste and paint the microphone portion of the Siri logo with a hole for your head to stick through. This may mean a couple of trips to Costco. Use rope or twine to fasten the cardboard around your waist.
I would paint "My name is Siri ... What can I help you with?" above a fake button on the costume (around belly button level) that the user would have to push to activate me.
Once the button is pushed, I was going to use a flashlight to light up a crescent shaped cutout that was covered with 3M Red Lens Repair Tape. I couldn't think of what to use as the "beep beep" noise that Siri makes, so I was just going to do my best Roadrunner impression.
Then the rest is up to your imagination and some practice at sounding like Siri. If you use this idea, please send me a photo of your costume. Better yet, post a video on YouTube!
