Utilities and Maintenance
Try to look at more than just the beauty of your prospect home. Take a closer look at it. Does it need to be remodeled? Will it take a lot of energy to cool or heat this home? The cost of utilities can really add up in a large or poorly insulated home. Also be sure to check and make sure that all of the included appliances are fully functional in the home.
Resale Value
The Resale value is always an important factor to consider. Your home is an investment and you want to be able to sell it for more than you paid for it if you ever decide to do so. Buying a house that has a great resale value can help protect your investment.
