Columbus Ohio – Short North Gallery Hop
Do you know what happens the first Saturday of every month in Columbus Ohio’s Short North arts district? If you’re an art fan you probably know but maybe you’ve just moved here or you’re looking for something new to do on the first Saturday of each month. You must check out the Short North’s Art District Gallery Hop. Thousands of visitors, locals and residents converge on the strip of Columbus is Short North district to view new art exhibits, take something home for their own collection or set up a booth themselves to display something perhaps no one has seen before. This is one of Columbus’s favorite nights of the month to celebrate art.
The Gallery Hopping starts at 4 PM and runs until 10 but many of the local shops and art galleries 
will open a little bit earlier to get people in the door. In addition to that a lot of the local restaurants and bars in the area stay open later to accommodate visitors and guests with that late-night drink or tasty bites after touring some of the most eclectic art in the area.

The Gallery Hop typically features over 40 galleries and nontraditional art venues such as restaurants, salons and shops that spotlight the best of the best in Ohio-based artists. Not only are you going to see a lot of nationally acclaimed artist but up-and-coming artists as well getting their first taste of viewer delight. In addition to the art galleries and open-air exhibit you may also find street performers such as singers and instrumentalists possibly even stage performers and circus acts. As always, vendors from across the Columbus area will come out to peddle their wares and you may find that something special your home or life has been missing.
