If your hardwood floors are starting to look like they are in need of repair, it might just be worth your time to refinish them yourself instead of paying high prices to have someone else do them. The steps below will walk you through the entire process quickly and easily.
1. Clean the floor thorougly
2. Use 180 grit sandpaper to prep the perimeter of
the room.
3. Scuff sand the floor with a buffer and a maroon
buffing pad.
4. Vaccum and sweep the floor, then wipe with a
microfiber cloth
5.Trim out the edges of the room with a paint
brush and some floor finish
6. Pour a 1 inch wide strip of floor finish in line
with the wood grain, and roll out with a paint
roller on a long handle
7. Wait 3 hours, then recoat the floor again.
