Educational and Fun!
Do you live in the Cleveland Hill area and are looking for something fun to this weekend? This past week you may have received a flier from the Cleveland Hill Fire Department regarding their Fire Prevention Open House. It looks to be a fun, educational event for people of all ages, especially children!
Join in on the fun at 440 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga NY 14225. Events will be held from 11am until 2pm Saturday, October 19th. You can partake in events such as: learn hands only CPR, stop drop and roll exercises, car rollover simulator, face painting, FREE PRIZES and more! Fire safety is important for all homes/homeowners, not just the ones with children. Sit down with all parties that live in your home and make a plan. How will you get out? Where will you meet? Where are the important documents stored and who will grab them? I suggest investing in a fire box to store irreplaceable documents and keep it near an exit. Next, make sure your home is fire safe: proper electrical wiring, smoke detectors, ladders near 2nd floor windows, etc. Finally, share your plan with friends, family and neighbors. Encourage them to have a plan too!
