I came across a quiz on iVillage.com this morning and took a quiz just for fun.

Based on the results from the quiz I have a Boston accent.

The other categories in the quiz are Midland,Philadelphia,West,North East,North Central ,The South, Inland North .

I hope Barbara Todaro will take the quiz and let me know whether she has a Boston accent.

She is the only person I know in Boston. I have been to many Celtics games in Philadelphia but not chatted with the fans who attended the games .

I would love to read about your American accent. I had no idea they have so many American accents.

When I went to school in India we just talked about two accents American accent and British accent.

Julie, It is nice to read that you have 66% Philly accent.

Beth, I think most of us have our childhood accents even if we relocate later on.

Patricia, You have enough Texan to be considered a native Texan.

Gita, my answers came out as Inland North 96% which I will take as a great compliment. The area where I was raised was known for taking short cuts with words and I worked very heard for years to enunciate properly so I could be taken with better credibility. I would take inland North to mean someone from an area well away from CT
