Tripping over history in a downtown Salt Lake City UT museum
Across the street from Temple Square, Salt Lake City UT is the Museum of Church History and Art. It's half a block north of the Temple Square TRAX (light rail) Station. You can take the Green Line from the Salt Lake International Airport. Blue Line trains also stop there.
In the Museum you get a feel for the early days of the Pioneers with many hands-on exhibits ~ a log cabin, covered wagon, hand carts, ship's berths. Clothing and utensils. Dioramas show the meticulous layout of early Salt Lake City. Artisans' tools involve you in the building of great structures.
The Museum houses a major exhibit of "100 (now 103) Years of Scouting". Walls are adorned with art works. Children are offered their own experience. It's for all ages.
Put the Museum of Church History and Art on your "to see" list when you are next in Salt Lake City UT.
We may even tempt you to make Utah your home.
