New Golf Carts for the Conestoga Golf Course at Sun City Mesquite

After being closed for almost three weeks for re-seeding, the greens and fairways at Conestoga Golf Course are in fabulous condition. During the time of re-seeding, Mesquite received some much needed rain which made the course emerald green and lush. The Conestoga course weaves its way throughout Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite. Some of these homes back up to the course. Conestoga is managed by Troon Golf. Upon reopening in September the course replaced its fleet of golf carts. Here is a pic of the new carts in front of the courses signature Conestoga wagon.

Conestoga is a par 72 course spanning 7,232 challenging, yet fun, yards. Hole 2 is my favorite. The tee boxes are on a 70 foot bluff and you are aiming for the hole some 188 yards away. You will encounter sand bunkers, desert landscape, and one lake which separates a double fairway during your round.

Sun City Mesquite residents and their guests enjoy discounted rates at this public course.

Yes, Anita, they are. It is a beautiful course with emerald green fairways. The residents of Sun City Mesquite whose homes abut the course are loving the look of these new carts passing by their homes October is one of the best months to golf in Mesquite, Nevada and the 7 championship golf courses are busy!

Welcome to Active Rain, Joan. I see you have just arrived over here as I poked around to find out where Mesquite is located. Very pretty golf carts, too. Not that I know a danged thing about golf, but I guess if you're selling real estate in Sun City you'll find yourself on golf courses fairly often.

To Roy: Conestoga is a great course managed by Troon Golf. Somewhat of a mini- Wolf Creek which is only a few miles away from here. The golf carts look great next to the emerald green grass and the deep blue skies of Mesquite. I am sure Dolores would love to play golf here...and she would have 6 more golf courses in town and several more within a 35 minute drive to play, as well!

To Elizabeth: thanks for the welcome. Mesquite, Nevada is about 80 miles NE of Las Vegas. With " out west" driving it is about 65-70 minutes down I-15. The golf courses around here add a dramatic touch of green to the desert landscape. This is the only Sun City course in town. The other courses have different communities built around them. And, yes, I do find myself "visiting" the courses in town...lol!

Ron and Alexandra, thanks for the welcome. I visited your blog today and loved it. Believe it or not, in this little town we have homes in the low million $$$ range. Few and far between but they exist..lol. The new carts are beautiful and all of the golfers who come and " play Mesquite" love them.

Larry and Sheila there is nothing like desert landscaped golf. I am originally from the east coast and love the courses from Maine to Florida and I have been on the west coast, Torrey Pines. The courses in Mesquite, Nevada rank right up there with the best.
